What affects your auto insurance rates?
1. Safe Drivers Save
If you and all other drivers on your policy have had a clean record for the
past 5 years (3 years in some states), you could qualify for a discount of
up to 10% a year with the Safe Driver Discount.
If your car is equipped with an airabag, anti-lock brakes, or a passive
restraint seat belt, you may qualify for additional discounts.
2. Your car's safety rating will also influence your insurance rate.
Check with the U.S Department of Transportation (crash testing)
for your cars safety rating. They have been conducting head-on
tests since 1978.
The Insuarance Institute for Highway Safety has been performing
40mph crash testing since 1995.
